Sunshine Coast businesses have once again the chance to receive the recognition they deserve after withstanding two years of incredible challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The annual business awards were launched at the Small Business Month Breakfast on Thursday morning.
Sunshine Coast Business Awards chair Jennifer Swaine said the awards were an important opportunity to recognise excellence in business from across the region’s many different industries.
“Businesses from across the Sunshine Coast region have done incredibly well and withstood significant challenges over the past two years, and it is great to see so many not just survive by thrive,” Mrs Swaine said.
“We have a close-knit business community across a diverse range of industries, and we are remarkably collaborative which makes us stronger as a region.”
More than 260 people attended the sold-out breakfast at Maroochydore RSL.
Up to 17 categories, including accommodation, advanced technologies and building and construction, are up for grabs.
The Business of the Year winner is drawn from the winners of the categories.
Hall of Fame Awards are also awarded to those who have won their category three years in a row.
Applications close on August 29 and finalists will be announced on September 22 before winners are awarded at a gala dinner at the Sunshine Coast Convention Centre at Twin Waters on November 12.
