Lorraine Boss is the founder and owner of Sunshine Coast-based yoga and photography business Passionate Lyfe.
She says her passion lies in teaching the art of yoga - a practice that she discovered more than two years ago and quickly embraced to become a huge factor in helping create the healthy, mindful lifestyle she wants to live and share with others.
Last year, Lorraine became a qualified yoga teacher, melding her love of photography with her passion for the philosophy and practice of yoga to launch her unique, combined business.
1 Favourite time of day and why?
Late afternoon around sunset. I love relaxing by the beach with my family and often my camera. It is usually in hand to take pictures of the beautiful colours in the sky.
2 What excites you?
Sharing the gift of yoga. It's a gratuitous feeling you get after taking students through a class that brings them back to contentment within themselves and their lives.
3 Favourite sport? Player or spectator?
I don't watch a whole lot of sport, but I do enjoy watching ice skating, swimming and tennis.
4 Best childhood memory?
My best childhood memory would be playing outside with my friends who lived in my street and picking and eating lots of tropical fruits from the backyard.
5 Where were you born?
Papua New Guinea.
6 Where would you like to holiday?
Istanbul is the place I would love to holiday.
The history and diversity in food, lifestyle and culture simply fascinates me.
7 Cats or dogs? Do you have a pet?
I don't have any pets but if I did I would most certainly be getting a dog.
8 Who are your heroes?
I have three amazing men in my life - my partner Daniel and our two little boys. They absolutely bring joy to my life. They are my heroes.
9 Dream job?
Teaching yoga was never something I saw myself doing. But living and sharing this certainly feels so surreal and very much like a dream, so I guess you could say I have my dream job.
10 What will you be doing in 10 years?
Teaching yoga, of course. And travelling and exploring more of this beautiful world that we live in.
11 What's the best thing about living on the Sunshine Coast?
What can I say, we are spoilt for choice here on the Sunshine Coast.
It's provided a lot of meaning and spiritual growth for me. It's the perfect piece of paradise.
