NEW radiology facility to offer reduced wait times, wider range of services for patients.

A RADIOLOGY clinic has secured a 10-year lease of a tenancy in the popular Nambour Central Mall, where big plans are set in motion for a million-dollar building upgrade.

Jason O'Meara and Peter Capps of Savills Sunshine Coast negotiated the deal at a rate of $300/sq m net plus GST for the 600sq m tenancy.

The building owner, PPI Funds Management, are said to be spending upwards of $2million in capital works to refurbish the centre and bring a breath of fresh air into the Nambour community.

Savills leasing executive Peter Capps said the refurbishment plans have sparked interest amongst businesses and retailers looking for space.

"There is interest from multiple other major brand tenants to fill vacancies in the space after hearing of the Sunshine Coast Radiology deal," Mr Capps said.

Savills anticipate that much of the remaining space will be occupied by other allied health tenants which will be attracted to the centre due to its central location, excellent parking facilities and cohesive tenancy mix.

Sunshine Coast Radiology managing director Dr Siavash Es'haghi, said the new facility came with many benefits including reduced wait times for patients, and comprehensive services with room to grow the hub in order to house specialists in the local area.

"This exciting move is another evolution in our mission to provide the highest quality radiology services and is underpinned by our commitment to the Nambour community," Dr Es'haghi said.

The new facility will offer an innovative patient-centric approach to imaging services, with state-of-the-art facilities, a larger professional healthcare team on-site, and an expanded range of services including MRI and echocardiography plus increase CT, x-ray and ultrasound services.

Sunshine Coast Radiology anticipate the new practice to double the number of patients who receive services each day, and predict the increased demand to create additional jobs.
