GLOBAL juice and smoothie brand Boost Juice has opened a new outlet in the heart of the Caloundra CBD after leasing premises through Ray White Commercial Caloundra.

The franchise business has secured a 78sq m tenancy at 10A/67 Bulcock Street, Caloundra in a deal negotiated by Ray White Commercial Caloundra's Alan Gray and Len Greedy.

Mr Gray said Boost Juice has looked at Caloundra options for several years and with the Bulcock St refurbishment and continued growth at the southern end of the Sunshine Coast they felt that the time was right.

"This is a shot in the arm for Caloundra as Boost has employed 16 local staff members and has spent a considerable amount on the shop fit out," he said.

"They have a total of 272 stores across Australia and over 350 stores internationally which is an amazing success story since their first juice bar opened in Adelaide in 2000."

Mr Greedy said it was the first time the tenancy had been on the market for more than a decade.

"Tenancies of this size in the heart of the CBD rarely become available and this was a golden opportunity to position a new business," he said.

"Surrounding tenants include Gloria Jeans, a newsagency, an optometrist and long standing retailers."

Boost Juice provide a wide range of freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices, protein and energy drinks, icy fruit crushes, calorie counters and traditional smoothies.

The Caloundra franchisee Sid Solmaz is excited by his new challenge and has confirmed that Boost Caloundra was trading above projections.

Mr Solmaz had previously worked for Inchcape Shipping Services as Cruise Ship Coordinator in Brisbane, looking after operational matters for cruise ships such as QM2, Pacific Dawn, Pacific Aria, Queen Victoria and Carnival Legend. He has been in shipping for more than 20 years.

Boost has taken out a six-year lease with 6 + 6 year options for gross rental of $31,200 per annum plus GST and outgoings.
