We put the call out to find the best hairdresser on the Sunshine Coast.

Below are the 11 top hairdressers Sunshine Coast Daily readers trust with giving them the perfect cut or style.

The Cotton Tree hairdresser says she has always felt drawn to her creative side, having worked in the hairdressing industry for 23 years.

“I’m inspired by fashion, nature and people,” Ms Stevens said.

“To feed my inspirations I regularly work at Fashion Week in Sydney, participate in photo shoots with local models and photographers using our beautiful Sunshine Coast landscape.”

Now owning her business for six years, Ms Steves said she’s “lucky” to have wonderful clients who trust her with their image.

“The best part of loving my job is going to work everyday and it not feeling like work thanks to my clients and two team members I have alongside me, we have so much fun and create such a positive and loving environment,” she said.

Originally a shampoo girl 23 years ago, Ms Love has continued to enjoy her passion of hairdressing and has since launched her own business 10 years ago.

“We are so lucky to be in such a creative world and that is forever changing,” she said.

“I like to push myself in all areas of the hair world.

“My passion behind the business and doing hair is all about the people that come through the doors and sit in the chair.

“We can change peoples lives with making them feel amazing about themselves in one appointment.

“I love the hair world and feel so blessed to be apart of an industry that isn’t just a job but my passion.”

The Caloundra based hairdresser says the flexibility of her work has allowed her to thrive in her industry, which she’s been a part of for the last 12 years.

“I wanted to have the opportunity to be creative, be my own boss and have the flexibility to take my work with me wherever I live,” Ms Nawrocki said.

“I love that I can make people happy and feel amazing while I’m doing what I love.

“I am inspired daily by my need to give each and every client a great result and a memorable experience.

“I love making people feel beautiful, inside and out.

“Lifelong friendships are made in the salon, which is an extra added bonus to my career.

Having started out serving tea in a salon in 1996 at the age of 13, Ms Varley is still as passionate about the industry as ever.

The Little Mountain hairdresser has operated her salon for eight years.

“I would go with my nan as a little girl and watch her get a perm and roller set and I admired the hair stylists and always wanted to be like them,” Ms Varely said.

“I enjoy making women feel instantly better about themselves.

“There is something about fresh hair that lifts your internal spirit.

“I’m passionate about my clients. They become like family and I love making them feel good.”

Using her skills in hairdressing and makeup, Ms Nellis has forged a career over more than 30 years.

“We look at the person as a whole, we do their hair, makeup and we dress them,” she said.

“It’s a whole healing experience, everyone feels good when they feel the best version of themself.

“Weddings are my big passion, we do 150 weddings a year and making a woman look her best is my passion.”

Just 10 months since completing her apprenticeship, Ms West is already making a name for herself as a great hairdresser.

“I got into hairdressing because I love making people feel great about themselves and being able to interact with people everyday is one of my favourite parts,” she said.

“Being able to pamper my clients and see my work family everyday inspires me to keep growing

“I just appreciate every opportunity I’ve ever had in this industry it’s made me who I am today and I can’t wait to keep growing as a hairdresser.”

Using hairdressing as a source of creativity, Ms Mann says she finds joy in bringing her clients dreams to life.

“The thing that inspires me the most would be seeing my clients faces after I have revived their hair,” she said.

“Nothing comes close to seeing someone look at themselves so beautifully, have so much confidence and to watch them walk away with a spring in their step.

“I have had my own business for just over seven years and have been a hairdresser for 11 years.

“I love hairdressing because it allows me to be me. It allows me to be creative, to hang out with my clients (who are actually so amazing) and to keep myself learning and growing.”

Ms Mann encouraged others to pursue a career in hairdressing by just “giving it a go”.

“The first few years are always the hardest but when you find your groove, you’ll never regret it,” she said.

“It’s one of the most amazing things I’ve ever done.

“Being able to be my own boss and work my dream job, nothing is better than that.”
