ABSOLUTE beachfront land is at a premium on the Sunshine Coast and buyers have been quick to secure a significant number in the first stage of land at The Shore Marcoola.
Sales agent Mark McGill from Amber Werchon Property said 21 of the 33 blocks of direct beachfront land had been sold since the start of the year.
"This is one of the most popular residential land projects that I have been involved with, we've fielded over 300 inquiries - mostly from local buyers who are aware of the scarcity of absolute beachfront land here on the Sunshine Coast.
"The project's close proximity to the Sunshine Coast Airport, major shopping centres as well as sporting and education facilities has ensured that we've received significant enquiry from a range of buyer profiles," he said.
"These include professional couples, growing families and retirees who all want to build their dream home with direct access to the beach from their back gate without having a road or path to cross.
Mark said there was a hive of activity both on and off-site at The Shore with construction machinery already on-site with quality fill being sourced from Coolum to ensure the project is of the highest standard.
"It's been great to see the civil construction teams on-site moving dirt and preparing the site for construction," Mark said.
"There's also been significant discussion with a number of hotel operators who are keen to establish a presence in the beachfront location, we are confident that we'll be making an announcement on this soon.''
The Shore Marcoola is located adjacent to the Surf Air resort on David Low Way, the boutique master-planned project includes 33 direct access beachfront homes followed by a 114-room hotel resort, 144-bed residential aged care facility and a retail precinct.
