Forget about democracy sausages and how-to-vote cards at the polling booth on election day, with voters three lucky Brisbane booths to get free doughnuts.
Voters at Daisy Hill, Caloundra and Morayfield, at booths near the Galactic Donut stores, will receive free doughnuts and “how to eat doughnuts” cards as they head to perform their democratic duty.
Galactic doughnuts said they want to “take a stand against the mundane voting experience” and “sweeten” it, with their team heading out in full force to spread the goodness.
Keep an eye out for their signature bright pink logo at your local booth on Saturday, October 26.
Democracy sausages have been increasingly popular in the past decade, with the pilgrimage to vote now customarily accompanied by a snag in a piece of bread.
A Democracy Sausage website has also been formed, letting Aussies know where they can grab one during any election.
