Trevor Watts looks set to easily retain Toowoomba North for the LNP if betting odds at Ladbrokes are to be believed.
The betting agency has Mr Watts’ win paying $1.25, while a win for Labor’s Megan O’Hara Sullivan is paying $3.75.
In Toowoomba South, a David Janetzki win for the LNP is paying $1.14, a Susan Krause Labor win is paying $5.50, while a One Nation win is paying $21.
In Condamine a Pat Weir LNP win is paying $1.05, One Nation is paying $8.50, Labor is paying $12 and the United Australia Party is paying $91.
According to a Ladbrokes spokesman, Labor is the clear favourite to be the next sworn-in government after tonight, winning a third term in office.
At time of print Labor was paying $1.22.
“The LNP are the $3.75 outsides, however, the individual seat betting markets suggest they should be at shorter odds.
“Based on polls, our markets and a bit of overall gut feel on the ground, we’re betting on the result for Annastacia Palaszczuk and the Labor Party to gain a small majority on Saturday night, in a very similar outcome to 2017, despite speculation that a hung parliament is on the cards.”
