South Burnett’s most expensive homes sold in 2022 revealed

From dreamy farmhouses to gorgeous Queenslanders, here are 10 of the most expensive pads sold in the South Burnett region. Some sold for more than $1m.

From sprawling farms to holiday homes in the Bunya Mountains, the property market in the South Burnett remains strong.

Eight South Burnett developments that will change the region

In the past year, nearly 900 residential properties have been sold across the region.

In addition to these houses, many farms, commercial lots and parcels of land have also changed hands.

Here are the 10 most expensive residential properties sold in the region over the past 12 months:

#10: 18 Houghton St, Murgon

After just 10 days on the market, this beautiful suburban Murgon home sold for $739,000.

The four bedroom, two bathroom home was built in 2000 and has a 300 square metre floor plan.

With high, vaulted ceilings and an expansive back veranda, this home is a wood-lovers dream.

Situated on a sprawling 4ha block, this one-storey Queenslander in Benair sold for $745,000 after being on the market for three months.

The four bedroom, one bathroom home is located just off the Bunya Highway.

The house itself has a 177 square metre floor plan and four garage spaces.

This four bedroom, two bathroom Booie home sold in August 2022 for $765,000.

The house was built in 2012 and has since changed hands four times.

Situated on a large corner block, the house boasts a large backyard filled with spectacular greenery.

#7: 339 Appin St, Nanango

This Nanango property was sold for $770,000 in June, 2022.

It boasts four bedrooms, two bathrooms and six garage spaces.

The home was sold by Property Now and was built in 1996.

#6: 234 Kitoba Rd, Kitoba

Situated on a 40ha lot, this property at Kitoba was sold in December 2021 for $782,500.

The house, which was built in 1930, was sold by Marg Cochrane & Cherie Carlson of Marg Cochrane Real Estate.

It was on the market for 43 days before it sold.

The house has three bedrooms and one bathroom.

#5: 276 Birt Rd, Booie

With a sale price of $850,000, this four bedroom, two bathroom house offers spectacular views and a large block of almost 2ha.

The home is also known as Belvedere Pt.

#4: 162 Haydens Rd, Booie

Boasting nearly 20ha, this Haydens Road property comes with a vineyard.

The house itself was built in 1910 and has three bedrooms and one bathroom.

It sold in April 2022 for $880,000.

#3: 339 McIllhatton Rd, Booie

Another very large parcel of land, this Booie home has more than 16ha to offer.

Complete with a pond, the large estate has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, and sold for $995,000 in June, 2022.

#2: 29 Uptons Rd, Tablelands

Complete with a large wraparound veranda, polished wooden floors and a garden resembling an Arizona desert, this Uptons Road property sold for more than $1 million.

It sold in April 2022 for $1,170,000.

The three bedroom, three bathroom house spent 320 days on the market and was listed by Kylee Bassett of Master Key Realty.

There must be something in the water on Haydens Road in Booie, with two of the most expensive properties in the region located on the street.

That “something in the water” may very well be the large pool on this Booie property, overlooking a sprawling 23.5ha lot.

The three bedroom, two bathroom house sold for $1.25 million in August, 2022.

It also boasts eight garage spots.
