Woman hides under bed to avoid arrest

DRUGS, weapons, search warrant hide-and-seek; Nanango police reveal this weeks most difficult cases.

FROM playing hide-and-seek with police, to drug possession, and unregistered firearms, Nanango police have been dealing with some tough cases.

A SOUTH Nanango woman will front Kingaroy Magistrates Court today on a range on a range of charges, including nine fail to appears.

According to Senior Constable MarcusHooper, the 34-year-old was arrested at 12.45pm yesterday (September 6) after police found her hiding underneath her bed.

She was arrested on nine outstanding warrants for failing to appear, which are in relation to a further 23 charges accumulated throughout the year. These charges range from breaching bail, to stealing, and drug charges.

The woman remains in custody and will face the court today (September 7).

A man and woman are due to face court this month after police located drugs, ammunition and a firearm at a Wengenville address.

On August 20, an officer from the Kingaroy Criminal Branch executed a search warrant at the dwelling, subsequently locating an unregistered rifle, along with a quantity of cannabis and ammunition.

The 60-year-old man will face two charges before Toowoomba Magistrates Court on September 23, for possessing drugs, as well as ammunition and a Category B rifle.

The 32-year-old woman has also been charged with drug possession and is due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court today (September 7).

A man will face court this week after police located drugs and drug utensils at his Nanango address.

On August 20, officers from Kingaroy Criminal Branch and Nanango executed a search warrant at the 28-year-old mans Nanango home, subsequently locating a quantity of Cannabis and drug utensils.

He will face Nanango Magistrates Court on September 10, charged with possessing dangerous drugs and failing to dispose of needles used in connection with administration of dangerous drugs.

A 36-year-old woman has been charged with drug possession after police located dangerous drugs at her Nanango property.

On August 19, officers from Murgon Criminal Branch executed a search warrant at the address, locating a quantity of amphetamine.

She was charged with possessing dangerous drugs and will appear in Nanango Magistrates Court on September 10.
