Police allegedly discover firearm during raid at Nanango

A firearm and cannabis have allegedly been discovered when police carried out a raid in the South Burnett.

About 4pm, officers carried out the raid at an Old Esk North Road address, locating a firearm and a quantity of cannabis.

A 27-year-old man has been charged with weapons offences after a property was raided by police in Nanango on Wednesday.

About 4pm, officers carried out the raid at an Old Esk North Road address, allegedly locating a firearm and a quantity of cannabis.

A Nanango man has been charged with three offences including one count each of unlawful possession of a firearm, possessing dangerous drugs and possess anything used in the commission of a crime.

He is due to appear in the Nanango Magistrates Court on August 14.
