A man, in his 50s, was rushed to hospital after the venomous snake struck him at night on a rural South Burnett property.

A man was rushed to hospital after suffering a snake bite on a South Burnett property.

The incident occurred at an unknown location in Chahpingah just before 8pm on Saturday, August 21.

The Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed the man, in his 50s, was taken to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition.
