It’s hard to believe but it’s already once again the school holidays, but don’t fret – there’s plenty to see and do around the South Burnett these holidays to keep both the kids and adults entertained.

Sunshine State MX
Round 3 of the Sunshine State MX Series will be coming to South Burnett Junior MX Club‘s track at Edenvale.
The competition routinely attracts hundreds of Australia‘s best MX riders so there’ll be plenty of adrenaline pumping action across the whole weekend for kids of all ages.
WHEN: Saturday – Sunday, 8am to 2pm

COST: $10 for adults, $5 for kids under 13
Peanut Party
It’s finally here. To celebrate the arrival of the Big Peanut, the community is invited to come and celebrate together at the monument in Lions Park.
The event will officially launch the new sculpture and feature a free sausage sizzle and fairy floss, face painting and live entertainment.
You can even meet the sculptor who put the nut together.

Gem Show
The South Burnett Gem lCub will be hosting their annual gem show at Wondai Sportsgrounds across the weekend.
There’ll plenty of fun available for both adults and kids including plenty of crystal and rock displays and dealers.
WHEN: Saturday and Sunday, 9am to 4pm
WHERE: Wondai Sportsgrounds
COST: $5 Adults, under 12s free
Nanango Country Markets
The monthly markets at the Nanango Showgrounds will be on again this Saturday from 6am to noon.
The markets are the largest rural markets in southeast Queensland, with more than 400 stallholders lined up.
With so many stalls, you’re almost certain to score a trinket or two!

Shoppingworld Easter Eggstravaganza
Get all dressed up for some family fun with the Kingaroy Shoppingworld putting on its Easter Eggstravaganza and egg hunt.
Be sure to bring your Easter Basket with you to store your eggs! There'll be yummy eggs, sweet treats, and a prize for the best dressed.

EGG HUNT IN THE VINES
Bring the children to Kingsley Grove Estate for your Easter egg hunt in the vines.
Bring your own baskets and run through the vines looking for those hiding chocolate eggs. The child that finds the Easter bunny chocolate egg will win Mum a bottle of Kingsley Grove wine.
There’ll be multiple sessions throughout the day, but bookings are essential, click here for more details.

Maidenwell bull ride
The annual bull ride at Maidenwell will be kicking off in style over the Easter long weekend, with plenty of bucking good action.
The event is a major fundraiser for the Tanduringie State School P & C.
Drink and food will be available.
