The South Burnett Regional Council has approved construction of a new retail complex in Kingaroy, which will transform an empty lot on Rogers Drive pending final permits.
Submitted by Adapt Planning Pty Ltd on behalf of Cape Moreton Company Pty Ltd, the application was given the green light on June 5, 2024.
The proposed development will transform the currently vacant lot at 5-13 Rogers Drive, situated across from Sunshine Mitre 10 and near the Huston Ford dealership, into a large-scale retail destination.
The plans include a car park with 54 spaces, additional staff parking at the rear, and a variety of landscaping features such as magnolia trees.
While the development application has been approved, construction cannot start until separate permits for building, plumbing, and drainage works have been obtained.

The timeline for the start of construction has yet to be announced, however the currency period on the application is two years after the approval date of June 5, 2024.
