MORE than eight million people live in regional Australia and former Kingaroy girl Melissa Dickfos is on a mission to prove why the rural life is best.
She has teamed up with co-host Cath Fowler to create a podcast called Regional Roar.
The idea behind the new venture was strongly influenced by the country girl's hometown roots.
"Supporting regional businesses is really close to my heart,” Mrs Dickfos said.
"I grew up in Kingaroy and love the tight-knit communities that regional towns are known for.
"We started the podcast to showcase successful regional business and help to inspire others to continue on their business roller-coaster journey.”
As well as being podcast offsiders, they are both mothers and marketing consultants living in regional areas of Australia.
The hosts are also digital marketers and the podcast will share business and marketing tips from the pair, and guests who are experts in their respective fields.
The passionate duo whole-heartedly believe "when local businesses thrive, regional Australia thrives too”.
Regional Roar will air a new episode every fortnight on the website.
