The Burnett region’s favourite electrician grew up in Blackbutt - his business attracted 20 per cent of the votes in our poll. Read his story:

AMG Electrical Solutions has been crowned the Burnett’s Best Electrician of 2023, receiving 20 per cent of total votes.

Mr Gray, 34, grew up in Blackbutt and relocated to Kingaroy more than 15 years ago.

“I was working away a lot and crazy hours that didn’t suit us so we thought opening up the business would allow for more flexibility with hours and we were wanting to start a family,” Mr Gray said.

“Owning a business is something I’ve always wanted to do,” he said.

The couple pride themselves on always doing the right thing by their customers.

“We always hold their best interests at heart and have served over 3004 South Burnett clients,” Mr Gray said.

“We provide our services to pretty much everywhere in the South Burnett.

“We have 18 employees from sparkies to supervisors and the support team,” Mr Gray said.

Mr Gray said his interactions with customers and the variety of work were his favourite parts of the job.

“The variety is great. One day I’ll be doing a solar job and then the next working on a farm or something at a factory,” he said.

“I love meeting new people, it’s very cool.”

AMG would like to thank the Burnett residents who voted for them in the poll and appreciate the continuing support for the work they do.

Mangan‘s Electrical and Adam Rhind Electrical tied in second place with 11 per cent of total votes each.

Raffin Electrical placed third with 8 per cent of total votes.
