Man airlifted in critical condition after workplace fall

He was working at a site along the Bunya Highway this morning.

UPDATE, noon: A man has been airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a critical condition this morning. 

He sustained a head injury after falling six metres from a roof in Kumbia. 

EARLIER, 8.45am: A MAN will be airlifted after falling 6 metres from a Kumbia roof this morning.

Paramedics were called to the worksite along the Bunya Highway in Kumbia at 7.42am this morning.

The man was working from a roof when he fell approximately six metres.

A QAS spokesman said the man was in a serious condition.

Paramedics are now transporting him to Kingaroy Hospital to meet the rescue helicopter.
