Paramedics and firefighters responded to reports of a kitchen fire at a home on Spencer St, Roma at about 7.50am on Wednesday morning.
Six people were transported to Roma Hospital in a stable condition and treated for minor smoke inhalation.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said it was a straightforward operation that was over very quickly.
“There was not much there, no fire, it was just smoldering,” he said.
“Something melted that was left on top of the oven.
“We had one crew attend for twenty minutes. They ventilated the house and the house was back in the hands of the owner at 8.26am.”
