WOMEN in the Maranoa have until Thursday to apply for funding to help establish their online businesses.
Thriving Healing Evolving Rural Women have partnered with the Regional Australia Bank to offer funding to 10 women from the region who will receive 12 months' support to help establish their online micro-enterprise and to start trading in the new year.
THE Rural Woman CEO Rebel Black said the sponsorship, provided by RAB, would provide 10 successful applicants with 12 months business training and mentoring.
"This sponsorship also provides successful applicants with a long-term online support system, connection to a national network of rural women in business, and the technology they need to start trading successfully in their business.
"It's everything they need to succeed in business and it our intention that they will.”
This project is expected to inject an additional $150,000 into the Maranoa economy over the next year, as the women begin to grow their businesses and generate new income.

THE Rural Woman Seed Scheme has a focus on women who are rural and regionally based, who are young or nearing retirement age, indigenous or those who are currently unemployed or underemployed.
Successful applicants will receive full support as they begin or develop their business venture, with weekly online mentoring and training, a fully developed support network, access to technology and management systems.
This new initiative is part of a nationally shared goal to inject more money inio the rural Australian economy, with hopes of helping develop 700 rural based, women-led micro-enterprises.
Applicants must be female, living in the Maranoa Region, have an idea they are passionate about developing, a commitment to start an enterprise online, and be willing to invest in the year-long process.
