Man, 48, taken to hospital after truck rollover on Warrego Hwy between Hodgson, Roma

The Warrego Highway was closed for more than six hours this morning after a truck crashed west of Roma.

A man was taken to hospital after his truck rolled over on the Warrego Highway between Hodgson and Roma at on Friday morning.

Roma Police Constable Brendan Jones says the road was closed while a crane was brought in to remove the front trailer of the vehicle, which had been transporting grain and was blocking traffic.

Emergency crews were called to the scene just before 3am and the road was not reopened until 9.40am.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the 48-year-old driver was transported to Roma Hospital in a stable condition with a collarbone injury.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
