A stolen shopping trolley, a couple of assaults and a lost Ipad are all part of this week's police briefs.

Coming clean on stolen trolley

DURING an inspection at a Jackson St address, Roma police found a supermarket trolley being used a laundry basket.

A 32-year-old woman was issued a notice to appear for stealing and is scheduled to appear in Roma Magistrates Court on July 31.

Firing up in smoking zone

POLICE were called to a disturbance at the Club Hotel on Saturday night.

On arrival police arrested a 29-year-old man for starting a fight in the smoker's area.

The man was issued with an infringement notice.

Stubborn man refuses to leave

ON the same night, a 23-year-old man was refused entry into the Club Hotel. He failed to leave the premises and had to be removed forcibly by security staff.

The man was also issued with an infringement notice.

Abandoned iPad found at park

A FULL-sized iPad was found in Apex park on Friday. Police are still looking for the owner and believe it may have been left behind or stolen. If you have information, or believe it to be yours, please visit the Roma police station.

Driving over legal limit

A 31-year-old male driver produced a positive blood-alcohol reading of 0.08 after he was intercepted by police at 11pm Saturday. The man, who was driving along Holland St, has been ordered to appear in court on July 31.

Assault lands man in court

A 27-year-old man was arrested for assault and obstructing police overnight Saturday. The man is due to face court on July 31.
