Residents are concerned the future of Augathella's post office is in jeopardy after the current operators decided to hang up their boots at the end of the year.
An Australia Post spokesman said the operators of the post office said they intend to cease trading at 5pm on April 20.
"Australia Post has opened Expressions of Interest to residents and local businesses to take on the provision of postal services from that date," the spokesman said.
"Importantly, there will be no impact to current roadside delivery services."
But Australia Post said they remain committed to providing ongoing postal services to Augathella.
They intend to update the community when a new licensee and location is found and all PO Box holders will receive a letter.
PO Boxes will remain at the current location until it shuts.
"If customers have any queries, they are welcome to call us on 13 76 78," the spokesman said.
