Two Rockhampton men charged over alleged axe attack, robbery
Detectives have charged two men over an Allenstown armed robbery which allegedly involved an axe. One of the men was charged with an assault of two police officers during his arrest.

Two Rockhampton men have been charged in relation to analleged axe attack in an armed robbery in Allenstown earlier this month.
Detectives from the Rockhampton Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a 22-year-old North Rockhampton man and a 27-year-old Rockhampton man with multiple offences
The alleged break and enter occurred at an address on Upper Dawson Road on Friday February 10.
Police will allege around 10.45am the two men assaulted a man with a small axe and stole his vehicle, a white Holden commodore.
The man who was allegedly assaulted was taken to hospital with minor arm injuries.
The 27-year-old man then allegedly reversed the vehicle at high speed into the street, forcing other drivers to take evasive action to avoid a collision.
The Holden vehicle was recovered the next day.
Police arrested this man on Thomas Street, Norman Gardens on February 13 with one count each of armed robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
He was denied police bail and is due to front Rockhampton Magistrates Court on April 19.
The second offender, a 22-year-old man, was arrested by police at an address in The Range on February 19.
Police will allege that during the arrest he assaulted two police officers.
He was charged with one count each of armed robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle and two counts of serious assault of a police officer.
He was denied police bail and appeared in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on February 20.
