SES crews respond to multiple call outs for serious roof leaks

Motorists are being urged to drive to conditions after reports of flash flooding in streets following heavy rain in the Rockhampton region.
SES Rockhampton Region Controller Jasper Humphries said crews were responding to a number of call outs for leaking roofs in Gracemere and Rockhampton after some residents reported of up to 70mm of rain falling in less than two hours.
The Rockhampton Airport weather station recorded 50mm of rain between 4am and 8am.
The Glenmore Tavern was forced to close temporarily due to the wet weather conditions but the Bistro was expected to reopen during the evening with a limited menu.
Mr Humphries said there was water over roads and motorists should drive with caution.
The Bureau of Meteorology forecast for Wednesday is for widespread showers tending to rain at times with moderate to heavy rainfall in southern and Central Queensland.
There is a moderate flood warning current for the Connors and Isaac Rivers on the Fitzroy River system.
The Fitzroy River at Riverslea at 8am was 14.24m, below the minimum flood level of 15m.
The Qld Traffic website reported flash floodng on Nagle Drive, Norman Gardens, Bellbird Drive/Alexandra Street, Parkhurst Farm Street lower end, Kawana, Thompson Point Road, Nankin, Apis Creek Road, Balcomba, Malchi Nine Mile Road, Nine Mile, Sleipner Road, Nankin, Artillery Road, Ironpot and Lake Mary Road, Mulara.
