Two young family men are taking their real estate carers to the next level as the new principals of McGrath Estate Agents in Rockhampton.

Michael Millers and Mathew O’Brien officially announced they were opening the real estate agency on Thursday.

Mr Millers said it had been a “dream come true” to open McGrath in Rockhampton.

“We had been joking about it and then we both realised we shared the same vision to open McGrath,” he said.

“(We) decided instead of opening different real estates individually, because that’s where we both wanted to go, we decided to go in together.

“We are just looking to take our skills to the next level with McGrath behind us.

“I have always seen McGrath as the pinnacle of real estate brands.

“They are the best of the best.”

The two young dads developed a budding friendship working together at another real estate agency in Rockhampton.

Mr Millers said potential clients can expect interactions to be more personal and “not so much transactional based”.

“(We) care about their needs,” he said.

Mr O’Brien said the service and marketing that comes with McGrath was top notch.

“They’re marketing avenues and what we’re using, without a doubt, we are getting the best price,” he said.

While McGrath Estate Agents opened on Thursday, Mr O’Brien said they wouldn’t be in an office until early 2024.

The team formerly behind McGrath in Rockhampton joined national real estate brand, The Agency, in late 2022.

It comes as the Reserve Bank of Australia prepares to meet again on Tuesday, November 7.

The most recent Herron Todd White report has listed Rockhampton’s residential property market as still rising, while Gladstone and Emerald are approaching the peak of the market.

According to realestate.com.au, 115 properties have sold in the Rockhampton region in the last month.
