A Queenslander built circa 1934 has sold for $615,000, following the retirement of a Rockhampton paediatrician.
The property at 235 William Street, Allenstown, sold on February 3 and settled last week through Ray White Rockhampton.
Sales agent Mark Shore said the property, otherwise known as Beerholme, had been owned by paediatrician Dr Hilary Mercer for the past 20 years, who used it as medical suites.
“Hilary has recently retired in his 70s and so it is surplus to what he needs,” Mr Shore said.
Mr Shore said the property sold by private treaty to a local buyer.
“It sold to an owner occupier who is going to renovate the home and live there,” he said.
Located in the heart of the Allenstown commercial precinct, the property is situated on a 961 sqm block and boasts four bedrooms, one bathroom and three garage spaces.
The property also boasts wide shady verandas, tongue-in-groove interior, polished pine floors, and high pressed metal ceilings.
