Woman allegedly crashes car into house on Lucas Street, Berserker

A woman has been taken into custody after allegedly crashing into a house in North Rockhampton. This alleged incident follows three other crashes in Central Queensland in the last 24 hours. Full details.

A woman has been taken into custody after allegedly crashing into a house in North Rockhampton on Saturday afternoon and refusing to comply with a breath test.

Emergency services were called to the crash on Lucas Street, Berserker, at 4.55pm.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the driver, a 19-year-old woman, allegedly refused to provide a breath test on scene and became agitated with police and was taken into custody.

The spokesman said there was structural damage to the front of the building and a second vehicle was damaged at the scene.

Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics assessed a patient, however, no transportation to hospital was required.

The QPS spokesman said no charges had been laid.

This alleged incident followed three other crashes in Central Queensland in the last 24 hours.

Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics transported a woman in her 20s with head and spinal injuries and a man in his 40s with a head injury to Rockhampton Hospital in stable conditions following a two-vehicle crash on Ritamada Road and Scenic Highway, Emu Park, at 8.35pm on Friday.

A woman in her 40s was transported to Blackwater Hospital in a stable condition with neck and foot pain following a head-on crash on the Capricorn Highway at Duringa at 4.29am on Saturday.

According to a QPS spokeswoman, the driver of the second vehicle was uninjured.

A woman with back and arm pain and a man with arm pain were transported to Blackwater Hospital in stable conditions following a single-vehicle rollover on the Capricorn Highway and Yackham Road, Blackwater, at 12.04pm on Saturday.

It is understood the vehicle was on its roof and leaking fuel.
