Six children in hospital after car crash on Bruce Highway at Bajool

Six children are among those who were taken to hospital after a van travelling along the Bruce Highway, south of Rockhampton, crashed into a cow. DETAILS.

Six children are among those who were taken to hospital after a van travelling along the Bruce Highway, south of Rockhampton, crashed into a cow on Tuesday night.

Emergency services responded to the crash on the Bruce Highway and Upper Ulam Rd at 8.11pm.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the vehicle had crashed into a cow.

He said the highway was cleared just before 9pm.

A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said one crew responded and helped to make the scene safe.

She said all persons were out of the vehicle when the crew arrived on scene.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said six children were in the vehicle and had suffered minor to no injuries.

She said one of the children was a toddler and another was in their early teens.

She said an adult was also in the vehicle but suffered no obvious injuries.

The six children and adult were all transported to Rockhampton Hospital in stable conditions.
