A vehicle pulled over for a traffic stop in the middle of the night rammed the car Queensland police were travelling in before fleeing the scene.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said an investigation is underway after a black Mitsubishi Lancer intercepted by police drove into the unmarked police car officers had been travelling in when the interception took place.
The spokesman said the interception took place about 2.35am on Sunday, along Denning Street, which is near Richardson Road and behind the BP service station at the Yaamba Road intersection, in Park Avenue.
“The Mitsubishi has then driven into the police vehicle before fleeing the scene,” they said.
“No officers were physically injured during the incident.
“Police are appealing to anyone with CCTV or dashcam vision of the vehicle to come forward.”
