Pedestrian escapes serious injury in alleged hit and run in Rockhampton

A 21-year-old man was rushed to hospital on Friday night after an alleged incident involving several people in a residential area of Rockhampton.

A man had a lucky escape in an alleged hit and run in Rockhampton on Friday night.

Police allege that about 10pm on Friday, November 21 a group of people in a black dual cab ute drove to a French Ave address and had a confrontation with residents.

They said an unknown person drove the ute towards a 21-year-old man standing on the road, hitting him with the vehicle, before driving away.

Investigations are ongoing.

Paramedics responded to reports of vehicle and pedestrian crash and took the man to Rockhampton Hospital with minor injuries, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said.
