A dad-to-be with a chequered history involving pubs and police has had another run-in with law enforcers, this time at the scene of a car crash.

Mitchell Damien Nolan-Judd, 21, pleaded guilty in Yeppoon Magistrates Court to public nuisance.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Darrell Dalton said on May 17, police were called to a two-vehicle crash on the Scenic Highway at Cooee Bay.

Sgt Dalton said Nolan-Judd was “associated with” the driver of one of the vehicles.

The prosecutor said while police were speaking to that driver, Nolan-Judd continually interrupted them.

When police told Nolan-Judd that he was not being spoken to, he replied: “Well I don’t give a f---.”

Sgt Dalton said Nolan-Judd continued to swear repeatedly, and told police: “You c---s should talk to the council about getting the traffic light changed.”

The court heard that after Nolan-Judd was placed in the pod of a police car, he “kicked and pushed” causing the pod to “rock and sway.”

“He kicked the pod with enough force causing audible noise, clearly heard by members of the public,” Sgt Dalton said.

The court heard Nolan-Judd then screamed at police, dropping more F-bombs in the process.

Nolan-Judd, who previously copped bans from all Capricorn Coast pubs because of his behaviour and faced court after taunting police via Snapchat, had similar offending on his criminal history.

Solicitor Oscar Millroy said Nolan-Judd worked as a machine operator and he was a father-to-be.

Mr Millroy explained the circumstances at the time of the offending, saying Nolan-Judd was intoxicated and he had things going on in his personal life.

“He does have a child on the way,” Mr Millroy said.

“There was a separation which left him quite distraught in that he was... not going to be able to see the child once it was born.

“However, that has since been resolved - they have separated but their relationship is now amicable.

“I am instructed that he (Nolan-Judd) ultimately wishes to address his problem with alcohol - he has been seeing a counsellor for the last six months.”

In sentencing on May 30, Magistrate Philippa Beckinsale told Nolan-Judd that alcohol was clearly a difficulty for him before fining him $1000.

A conviction was recorded.
