Jake Richard Wolstenholme-Brook walked out of The Strand Hotel at Yeppoon about 12.20am and attacked another man on the street.
He threw a number of punches and created a disturbance by swearing loudly.
The events were seen by police who tried to arrest Wolstenholme-Brook for public nuisance but he resisted.
A struggle followed and it took multiple officers to restrain and handcuff him.
As Wolstenholme-Brook was taken to a police vehicle, he headbutted one of the officers.
Then as he was put in the back of the vehicle, he kicked another officer in the chest.
He was taken to the police station and charged.
Wolstenholme-Brook, 21, accepted that version of events in relation to the December 27 incident, in Yeppoon Magistrates Court where he pleaded guilty to public nuisance, obstructing police, and two counts of assaulting police.
The court heard Wolstenholme-Brook had no criminal history.
A self-represented Wolstenholme-Brook told Magistrate Lance Rundle that he was employed and the offending happened on “a stupid night out drinking.”
Mr Rundle placed Wolstenholme-Brook on nine months’ probation and no conviction was recorded.
