Police are investigating several incidents after a busy Saturday night in Central Queensland.
Investigations are underway into a car and house fire, a hit-and-run involving a possible stolen black Dodge Ram and a dumped Toyota HiLux.
The black Dodge Ram was involved in a hit and run crash on the corner of Thozet and Rockonia Roads, Koongal, last night about 9.40pm.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said police were at the scene moments after the crash, and occupants of one of the vehicles were not at the scene when they arrived.
The Dodge had been the subject of multiple dangerous driving reports on social media throughout the day, including doing burnouts up Mount Archer.
One person said they reported it to police about 9am on Saturday after it was chased by two other cars.
Another person stated on social media they saw it about 20 minutes prior to the crash swerving across the road with no headlights on.
The QPS spokesman said the Dodge Ram was not in the QPS system report for the hit-and-run crash as a stolen car, but police were investigating.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said QAS treated a male and female, both in their 60s, at the scene, both with minor lacerations to their heads.
One was transported to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said the QFD attended the scene at 9.45pm and made the scene safe.
He said they also responded to a car fire this morning in Depot Hill which also spread to a house.
The QFD spokesman said fireys were called about 5.10am to the corner of Quay Lane and South St.
He said crews were able to get the fire under control quickly.
The QFD spokesman said no one was in the house or car.
The QPS spokeswoman said the fire was initially declared a crime scene, but it was no longer a crime scene by 10am.
She said investigations were ongoing into that fire to determine if it was suspicious or not.
Further, two people have been arrested this morning after fleeing a dumped Toyota HiLux on foot, giving chase from Ultra Tune on Gladstone Road about 9.25am.
Multiple police crews were called to participate in the chase, with the two people being arrested in separate locations.
The QPS spokeswoman said one was arrested at the dump site, and the other at George St near a bus stop.
Initial reports indicated there may have been four people in the car when it was dumped and the HiLux may have been stolen, but that information is yet to be confirmed.
