Man taken to Moura Hospital after vehicle into tree

A Sunshine Coast man has been flown from Moura Hospital to Brisbane following a single-vehicle accident in the Banana Shire.

A man has been flown to Brisbane after he was involved in a single-vehicle accident in the Banana Shire region on Sunday night.

Emergency services received the call just after 6pm on February 25 to the Theodore-Moura Road in Kianga, about 2km from Moura.

The man, who is 32 from the Sunshine Coast, had suffered chest and leg injuries.

He was taken to Moura Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service confirmed on Monday afternoon the man has since been transferred to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

The man was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle.
