House destroyed by fire at Nine Mile

A fire has destroyed a residential property west of Rockhampton.

A house in Nine Mile, west of Rockhampton, has been destroyed overnight by fire.

Eight fire crews were dispatched to the property on Tucker Rd at 8.45pm onSunday, July 6.

According to a Queensland Fire Department spokesman the house was engulfed in flames.

Fire crews brought the fire under control by 10.20pm and the last crews left at 11.45pm the Queensland Fire Department spokesman said.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said no one was injured and paramedics were on standby while firefighters contained the flames.
