From market stalls in Central Queensland to the TV Week Logie Awards, a Rockhampton business owner is reaching exciting new heights with her products.
This year’s TV Week Logie Awards ceremony, to be held on Sunday, June 19, isn’t just about the winners but the minimising the waste guests’ the swag bags have on the environment.
It is the 62nd TV Week Logie Awards ceremony and the first one to be held in two years since Covid-19.
Rockhampton businesswoman, Sophia Czarkowski, owner of Art by Sophia, who designs and sells drink tumblers will have her products in this year’s Celebrity and Hollywood Gifting gift packs.
These gift packs are given to all the golden Logie nominees and Ms Czarkowski is ecstatic to be one of the contributors to the packs and helping others reduce their rubbish by using her tumblers.
“The nominees will each receive a reusable tumbler printed with one of my original artworks – a practical gift for busy people, keeping hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold,” Ms Czarkowski said.
“With more than one billion take away coffee cups estimated to hit Australian landfills every year, a reusable tumbler is ideal for helping reduce waste for these high profile celebs.
“I am passionate about the environment and glad that I can do my bit to contribute to reducing waste and reducing the number of disposable coffee cups entering our landfills.
“Not only are the tumblers reducing waste, but they are printed by me in my Rockhampton-based studio.”
Ms Czarkowski also makes earrings and full colour subliminations which she sells at the local markets or online.
