Eight businesses from Central Queensland have take out the Australian Wedding Awards in cake design, DJ, make up, hair, venue, photography and celebrant. SEE THE LIST

Central Queensland winners of the Australia Wedding Awards.

Central Queensland vendors were recognised for their work on a national stage at the Australian Wedding Awards in Sydney last week.

St Aubins Village: Winner – Wedding Venue – Unique

Located on Canoona Road on the outskirts of West Rockhampton, this historic circa 1870 property is a stunning backdrop for weddings and events.

There is also a giftshop and teahouse open to the public and two cottages on site for accommodation.

The property was bought by the Dawson family in 2018 and is run by daughter Lauren Myors, alongside her mum Janice Dawson.

The pair said they were ‘absolutely over the moon’ to win the award.

“It means the absolute world to us, we work so hard to provide a high standard and we are so grateful to have this recognised.”

Owner Suzan Stewart operates this popular business from her Glenlee home in North Rockhampton, along with the team John, Jess and Melissa, doing alterations, sewing and teaching.

The Blackwater business run by Theresa Fletcher specialises in fondant and buttercream for weddings and special events.

Shellie Belle Makeup Hairstyling Brows: Winner – Bridal Makeup Artist

Shellie Croft has a home makeup and brow salon at Tannum Sands, offering all makeup and hair styling services.

Mobile hair specialist, design styling and makeup application for weddings and formals.

DJ Vee: Top 10, Wedding DJ

The face behind DJ Vee is Vivian Hoy, a mobile DJ based in Rockhampton and travels all over Central Queensland.
