Residents of proposed new units at Yeppoon will be able to enjoy ocean views from their balcony and walk to the beach right from their front door.
Plans have been submitted for a three-level building with a basement carpark at 5 Kerr Street, Meikleville Hill.
The property sold for $520,000 in February 2022 and this latest development application was submitted to Livingstone Shire Council in January.
The block of vacant land has more than 1000sq m of uninterrupted views of the Yeppoon Main Beach and Keppel Bay, and also has two-street access with Farnborough Road.
The plans, designed by Eje Architecture Newcastle, include a unit on each of the three levels.
The units are three-bedroom and three-bathroom, and also include a media room and a large undercover balcony, along with the usual laundry, kitchen, dining and lounge areas.
The site is quite steep and the building would be built into the slope of the land, to allow for maximum ocean views and breezes.
There are eight parking spaces provided.
Vehicle access would be from Kerr Street on the northern boundary.
The building would be 11.9 metres above ground level and a footprint of about 325sq m, with a site coverage of 30 per cent.
The application will now be assessed by council planning officers.
