A Queensland Ambulance Service paramedic has been immediately suspended from working in the field by the industry watchdog.

Anthony Shawn Sehl had his registration as a paramedic suspended by the state’s Office of the Health Ombudsman on March 7, according to a posting on the OHO website.

They did not reveal the reason why he was suspended.

According to the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency he is from the central Queensland town of Collinsville and was first registered in the profession in 2018.

“The suspension of registration means that Anthony Shawn Sehl is prohibited from practising as a paramedic for the duration of the suspension,” the OHO stated.

The ombudsman’s decision will continue to have effect until the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal sets the decision aside or the ombudsman revokes it.

Mr Sehl graduated from Victoria University in 2013 with a degree in health science (paramedicine), the AHPRA website states.
