Qld Covid-19: State records 5207 new cases, no deaths

Queensland has recorded more than 5200 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, but no new deaths have been reported.

Queensland has recorded 5207 new Covid cases in the past 24 hours, with no new deaths related to the virus.

The most recent figures show a jump of more than 500 cases from Monday.

Rapid antigen tests confirmed 4117 of the new cases, while 1090 were diagnosed by PCR tests.

A total of 466 people are now in hospital with the virus, with 15 in intensive care.

There are now 37,721 active cases in the state.

As of May 1, 93.67 per cent of people aged 16 years and over in Queensland have had their first vaccine dose and 92.11 per cent are fully vaccinated with two doses.
