A pedestrian is fighting for life in a critical condition after being hit by a car at Strathpine on Thursday afternoon.

A pedestrian fighting for life after she was hit by car on Gympie Rd near Strathpine Centre on Thursday afternoon.
The woman was struck just before Stanley St at approximately 3:55pm before being driven to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a critical condition.
A QAS spokeswoman said critical care paramedics were on board with police and fire crews on scene also.
Delays on all lanes of Gympie Rd impacted motorists heading toward Petrie with the Department of Transport and Main Roads urging drivers to proceed with caution.
At 5pm delays on State Route 58, Gympie Rd, were upwards of 15 minutes.
