A 31-year-old Dubbo man is fighting for life in hospital after a paramedic found him seriously injured inside his van following a devastating crash in Noosa’s hinterland.

A 31-year-old Dubbo man is clinging to life in hospital after he was involved in a serious car crash in the Noosa hinterland.
A chance encounter by a Cooroy paramedic who found the wreckage helped sound the alarm for emergency services.
Paramedics rushed to the intersection of Grahams Rd and Louis Bazzo Dr in Pomona about 3.41am on Sunday after the 31-year-old man’s car ran off the road and crashed into trees.
The man suffered traumatic injuries to his head and legs from the crash.
Three fire rescue crews from Pomona, Cooran and Maroochydore freed the driver from his vehicle before he was flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.
Noosa Heads Police officer in charge Ben Carrollsaid the driver was in a serious condition in Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital’s intensive care unit.
Senior Sergeant Carroll said his officers were investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash.
Police believe the driver had missed the intersection at Grahams Rd and Louis Bazzo Dr before he crashed into a tree on the opposite side of the road.
