December 3: Teen sentenced for high-range drink driving
A teenager was found to be high-range drink driving when his unregistered ute was pulled over by police.
Joe Max Lawrence Morley, 18, was driving on Elm St at Cooroy about 9.40pm on November 20 when he was pulled over by police conducting random breath tests.
November 19: 'Appalling' driver hits 135kmh during danger race from cops
A Pomona driver with an appalling record led cops on a high-speed chase before hiding in bushes after ditching his vehicle.
Dylan Brett Martin, 24, pleaded guilty in Noosa Magistrates Court to nine charges including dangerous driving, driving an uninsured and unregistered car with no licence plates and driving while unlicensed.
October 15: Boatie cops $350 DUI fine
A Noosaville man was fined $350 after pleading guilty to piloting a boat under the influence of alcohol at Noosa Heads in September.
Sean Bradley Cox was stopped by water police on September 20 when they intercepted his boat about 8.10pm.
October 15: Woman had loaded meth syringe in glovebox
A 46-year-old Gympie woman had a loaded syringe of methamphetamine in a car when she was stopped by police in Noosaville in August.
Michelle Maree Gosley was intercepted by police on Gympie Tce at 3.45pm, driving a car that was missing three door handles and was subsequently found to have a bald tyre.
October 9: 'Unlicensed' driver claims 'it wasn't me' despite footage
A Caboolture man insists it was someone else who turned up to his hearing at Noosa Magistrates Court last month.
Damien Kosmac, 40, faced the court over charges of unlicensed driving and sought an adjournment of his case.
October 8: Man fined for 'panicking' and avoiding RBT - for nothing
A Gympie man was convicted fined $1200 for trying to force his car through a police roadblock in August.
Luke Russell Harvey told the court he had "panicked" as he thought he was over the drink-drive limit and did not want to be breath-tested.

Road workers who detained a drunk man who tried to drive off in one of their utes have been praised by police.
About 8.15pm yesterday, police received a report that a man had stolen the ute of road workers who were line-marking on Noosa Parade at Noosa Heads.

Brett Rodney Stowe, 50, recorded a blood-alcohol content of 0.136 at Gibson Rd, Noosaville, on July 28 when police stopped him at 9.36am, Noosa Magistrates Court was told.
September 17: Lights out but cops not thrown by escape attempt
A Peregian Beach man has narrowly escaped being jailed for evading police after pleading guilty to drink driving and driving without due care.
Douglas Paul Bach, 20, was initially seen driving on Cooyar St, Noosa Heads, about 2am on August 24, Noosa Magistrates Court was told on Tuesday.
September 11: Language barrier trips up student drink driver
A Brazilian man on a student visa who initially refused a breath test but eventually blew a high alcohol reading has been convicted, fined and disqualified from driving.
Felipe Campos D'Oliveira, of Sunshine Beach, had been stopped for a faulty headlight on the car he was driving at Berrima Row in Noosa Junction in the early hours of August 13, Noosa Magistrates Court was told on Tuesday.
August 27: Coast woman steals petrol, drink drives and crashes her car
A Tewantin woman has been fined a total of $1300 and lost her licence for three years after stealing petrol, crashing a car and leaving the scene.
She was also charged for driving an unregistered car without licence plates.
Noosa Magistrates Court was told Laheama Rowlinson filled her car with $35 worth of petrol at Noosaville's 7-Eleven outlet on June 1, leaving a note saying she would pay for it later, as she had lost her wallet.
August 27: Cocaine found after drunk driver flees RBT
A 25-year-old man has been convicted and fined a total of $1350 for drink-driving, attempting to evade police and possessing cocaine.
Carlos Rodolpho Nery, of Peregian Beach, was already on a restricted licence from a previous offence when he apprehended in Noosa while driving outside its allowable hours on August 11, Noosa Magistrates Court heard on Tuesday.

A paralegal says she hasn't worked since she lost concentration thinking about a performance review and crashed into a parked car.
Jemma Windrim was close to home after a big day at work on July 15 when she wrote her car off and broke a rib on Shorehaven Dr at Noosaville.

A coast father with a disability has been jailed for driving without a licence after telling a magistrate he was driving to get medication.
Colin Lloyd Gillies, 43 was found to be driving his car four months into a 24 month suspension for a previous conviction.
August 1: Hoon faces court after resort manager follows him home
A 21-year-old man has received a hefty fine in court after he was filmed doing skids and burnouts in a Coast street full of holiday resorts, and drove away weaving onto the wrong side of the road.
Trent Ethan John Anderson's hooning at Munna Cres was captured on a resort manager's mobile phone, before he was followed to where he was staying by the manager who witnessed his dangerous driving.
July 31: Weeping drink driver behind 'diabolical', drunken crash
A 24-year-old wept in court as he was sentenced for high-range drink-driving across the Coast that saw him pull into oncoming traffic as he tried to overtake trucks on double-lines, before crashing his car.
Reece Eric Jansen, from Noosa Heads, drove "erratically" from near the Sunshine Coast Airport to Eenie Creek Rd at Noosaville where he lost control of his car and crashed on Saturday, May 4.
Police prosecutor Allison Johnstone said Jansen left skids marks on the road stretching more than 100 metres.
July 23: Moped rider loads up on Sambuca, gets air in pub carpark
CCTV footage captured a 22-year-old moped rider getting air over a speed bump in a hotel carpark before he faced court for drink driving this morning.
Jesse Robert Heal, from Tewantin, had his moped keys and helmet taken off him at Villa Noosa on June 28.
But not before he could show off his tricks.

A COAST teenager who drove around with a "cut-throat" knife and wooden bats, terrorising pedestrians, has faced court.
Police were called by concerned citizens when Max Cullen, 18, drove around Noosa Heads in a silver wagon threatening people on the footpath last month.
July 16: 'I just met him': VB drink driver says Eels fan crashed car
A night at the footy on the VBs ended in disaster for a Coast woman who fronted court today for drink driving.
Marissa Karen Lake's car was written off after it crashed through a built up traffic island at Tewantin on June 15.
She blew more than twice the legal limit, but she claims she wasn't the person who crashed the car.
July 2: UBER STUPID: Driver loads up on UDLs on way to fare
A Coast Uber driver was "unsteady on his feet" both times he was caught driving over the general alcohol limit, twice in one week.
Police prosecutor Melissa Campbell said James Gowdy Kable, 56, returned a positive roadside breath test on his way to Verrierdale's Full Moon Dance on June 15.
Kable, from Gympie, told police he intended to collect passengers from the dance.
June 18: Woman says snake bite led her to crashing car into hospital
A 50-year-old Coast woman claims a snake bite led her to crashing her car into the wall of a hospital.
Sharon Dianne Towle pleaded guilty at Noosa Magistrates Court this morning to failing to have proper control of a vehicle.
Police prosecutor Allison Johnstone said police were called to Redcliffe Hospital in May last year to find a Hyundai had crashed into the hospital's wall, near the emergency entrance.

Liam James Ronald Perry was caught driving with a 0.069 blood alcohol concentration as he left a Noosa Heads carpark about 2.30am on May 7.
May 29: Repeat offender caught with two drugs in system
James Comrie Richardson was caught driving with methyl amphetamine and marijuana in his system on March 29.
Noosa Magistrates Court heard police pulled over the provisional licence holder driving on the David Low Way, Peregian at 10.30am.
May 28: Young man tears up as court hears drink drive circumstances
A young man became emotional as Noosa Magistrates Court heard the circumstances surrounding his regrettable decision to drink drive.
Jayden James Griffiths-Murchie, 20, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to driving while more than twice the legal limit and outside of the curfew of his good-behaviour licence at the time police pulled him over at United Petrol, Doonan, on May 10.
May 28: Drunk, moped-riding teen leads Noosa police on slow chase

Albert Lesley Francise Lindsay's vehicle was not registered, had no number plates and was missing panels and a rear bumper when he hit an estimated 96km/h in a 60km/h zone.
