Man dies at scene of crash at Springfield Lakes
A man has died at the scene of a single-vehicle crash in which the car he was driving hit a power pole, causing it to flip on a suburban road west of Brisbane.

A man has died after he lost control of his car and crashed it into a tree in Springfield Lakes.
Police investigations indicate the man was driving a Mercedes-Benz hatch near the intersection of Highlands Terrace and Summit Dr about 5.45pm when he crashed.
The 42-year-old Springfield Lakes man was declared dead at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash and has appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
