Man critically injured in Morayfield crash, 3000 residents without power
A man in his 20s has suffered life-threatening injuries after a car hit a power pole north of Brisbane, the crash causing a blackout for thousands.

A man is fighting for life after the car he was travelling in hit a power pole at Morayfield causing power outages to thousands of homes.
The accident occurred on Oakey Flat Rd near Allyra Dve at about 7.20am.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said a man in his 20s with possible life-threatening injuries was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
“His injuries are not known at this time,” a QAS spokeswoman said.
Energex was called to the scene shortly after the crash, with police warning people to avoid the area because of a fallen power line.
A Energex spokesman said more than 3000 residents had been impacted with homes and businesses expected to be without power for most of the morning.
