WINNING the Girls' Weekend Away competition could not have come at a better time for Amber Rogers.

The 20-year-old Warwick resident is currently looking for work and cannot wait for a few days of relaxation with her mum, Sandra Watson.

Amber said she was "excited and happy" to have won, and was looking forward to some time alone with her mum.

"We don't spend much time together," Amber said.

"We haven't spent much time together for years so will be great to hang up and catch up."

Sandra, who also lives in Warwick, will leave behind her husband and three sons to escape to the Robina Town Centre for a bit of retail therapy with her daughter.

The pair will also dine at The Kitchens, the Robina Town Centre's $160 million "food playground" that was opened in November, last year, and stay at Mantra Sierra Grand in Broadbeach.

Amber, who has not visited the Gold Coast for just more than a year, is most looking forward to buying some clothes and relaxing.
