Three vehicle crash closes Bruce Hwy in Kuttabul, truck crashes on Peak Downs Hwy in Eton

Two crashes have taken out four cars in a chaotic afternoon both north and south of Mackay, closing parts of the Bruce Highway.
A three-vehicle crash has closed it in Kuttabul, northwest of Mackay, with a Queensland Police Services spokesperson confirming police were called to the incident about 1.10pm.
They said the southbound lane of the Highway was completely blocked as of 3.10pm, with motorists urged to avoid the area.
It is understood no injuries were sustained in the crash.
Emergency services have also responded to a truck crash on the Peak Downs Highway in Eton, southwest of Mackay.
The incident occurred at the intersection with Elvins Road, and it is believed the truck cabin didn’t roll, but the load it was carrying did.
A Queensland Ambulance Services spokeswoman confirmed paramedics attended the incident at 2.13pm and treated one patient who was largely uninjured.
It is understood QAS came across the incident as opposed to being called to it.
A Queensland Police Services spokeswoman confirmed QPS responded to reports of a truck rollover, and that the truck had been carrying rocks. Police arrived at 2.45pm and didn’t report any traffic issues.
Two fire crews also attended the incident.
