St Lawrence crash shuts Bruce Highway in both directions

Four people were injured in a truck and car crash that closed the Bruce Highway between Mackay and Rockhampton on Saturday night.

Emergency services were called to the scene at St Lawrence, near St Lawrence North Rd, after a truck and car towing a trailer collided, a Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said.

A man in his 20s was airlifted by RACQ CQ Rescue to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition with facial and chest injuries.

Three other people suffered injuries and were taken to Mackay Hospital.

A male in his 20s suffered facial injuries, a teenage boy suffered head and leg injuries and a teenage girl suffered head and shoulder injuries.

The highway has now reopened.
