The Queensland Mud Trials Championships transformed the Sarina Showground into a muddy pit to the applause of spectators on the long weekend.
The family friendly event attracted hundreds through the gates with the event kicking off at 7.30am Saturday morning and running through until 8pm Sunday night.
Juniors, buggies, bombs and topgun classes all had their time in the mud.
Many spectators attended the event as children and were now continuing the tradition with their own families.
The Harzin team co-pilot Chloe Coop had her son in tow for 2021.
“Mum and dad are life members,” Mrs Coop said.
“I can’t even remember how long I’ve been coming for.”
Some attendees could even recall tales of the Sarina Mud Trials’ humble beginnings.

Attendee Gus Gutschlag said his father helped with Bevin Coleman and the Rotary Club in creating the first of the Sarina Mud Trials.
“There were a lot of farmer sons around town in with buggies done up,” Mr Gutschlag said.
“It started off as an affordable and cheap motorsport, now there are also some pretty heavy duty classes in the mix too.
“There’s even insurance for ten-year-old kids to have a go.”
