BOXING: It only took three rounds for Grafton boxer Adam Stowe to add another win to his professional boxing tally when he floored Brisbane boxer Timani Taupau in a knock-out win at Kingscliff Boxing Stables' international event Boxing Mania 2 on the weekend.

Stowe said it was a satisfying win, the second of his career after a TKO victory over Aaron Sesay two months ago.

"The fight panned out how I expected it to, after all the training I put in for it," the 31-year-old pugilist said.

"In sport anything can happen so you have to be on your game and I was 100-per cent focused when I went in to the fight.

" To end the fight in the third round with a knock-out, it was a good feeling."

Stowe said it took him the first round to figure out his opponent and his approach to fighting.

"He was awkward, tall and rangy," Stowe said.

"I had to adapt to it from the first round, obviously it was my first time in the ring with him so I had to try and figure out the best way to take him on. I didn't give him any room to find his range, and it took three rounds before the fight went my way."

The win is Stowe's second in three professional fights after he stepped back into the ring for the first time in five years last November, at the inaugural Yamba Big Bash Boxing event.

Stowe said he is keen to continue his boxing career, with his next major bout slated for August.

"From here I'll get back into training and focus on the next fight," he said.

"I'll definitely keep active and just see what's happening ahead of the next one."

Stowe thanked the Grafton Boxing Club for their work in preparing him for the fight and his corner team and management.
